She sits in her Astronomy class acting as if she is paying attention. The professor asks the class to take out a piece of paper and write the answer to the daily quiz. Her eyes are wondering around, looking out of the corners in hopes to catch a glimpse of the correct answer on one of her classmates papers.
She sits and doodles the whole 75 minutes. She twirls her hair with her pencil as she stares out into outer space. She constantly looks at the clock in hopes that the second hand has moved more than 5 minutes since the last time she looked at it. She bites at her fingernails and then checks her cell phone to see if she had missed any calls.
She then starts texting her friends or whoever just to pass the time away. She gets up and walks out of class to use the restroom. In the hallway she returns the phone calls that she missed. She managed to kill 7 minutes in that time.
She returns to class and again stares into outer space. What is going on in that blank head of hers? Is she made at her parents for making her go to college? Shes than blurts out loud...What a waste of time!

Been there, done that (at least the during my first years of school). I'm sure my kids have those same thoughts and are they mad at me for making them go to college...probably.
