The Journey to Graduation

She looks in the mirror to position her tassel on the correct side of her graduation hat. Shes so glad that this day has finally come as she is an hour away from hearing her name being called out in the auditorium as she walks across the stage.

Her parents are awaiting in the crowd with pride and joy on their faces.

A long journey is about to come to an end. All the countless hours of writing papers and late night cramming sessions for finals that seemed would never end.

The journey is about to end, why was she not as happy as she should be? Does that mean that she would have to get a job? Where would she get a job? Work? Real world. It all seemed to becoming a reality.

Four years have come and gone. Now its time for the next chapter of life. It will never be the same again. No more parents to pay the way through life. Support oneself? How might one do that?

All these thoughts were giving her a headache. She figured she would put all these thoughts aside for the time being, and for now enjoy her moment. As she looked up she heard her name...Sybella Victoria Morere.

She composed herself and took her well deserved walk to life.

Yay! That's great, Dana.

I know I'm definitely looking forward to that day myself. I'm sure you are too.

Graduation--looking forward to it--although I've been living in the real world for 20 years--school isn't so bad!
